Privacy Policy
Effective April 22, 2026
Overview
Quarry is a native macOS application. It runs entirely on your Mac. We do not operate servers that receive, process, or store your files, credentials, or usage data.
Data We Do Not Collect
- File contents, filenames, or directory structures
- SSH/SFTP credentials, passwords, or key passphrases
- Server hostnames or IP addresses you connect to
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Crash reports (unless you explicitly choose to send one)
Credential Storage
All credentials are stored exclusively in the macOS Keychain on your device. Quarry never writes passwords, passphrases, or private keys to plain-text files, plists, or any other unprotected storage.
Local Data
Quarry stores connection metadata (hostnames, ports, usernames) and rollback snapshots locally in your Application Support directory. This data never leaves your Mac.
Network Connections
Quarry connects only to the SSH/SFTP servers you configure. The only other network requests are:
- License validation (a minimal check against our licensing service, containing only your license key)
- Update checks via the Mac App Store (handled by macOS, not by Quarry)
Third-Party Services
Quarry does not embed any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
Website
The quarrymac.com website does not use cookies for tracking. We do not run analytics scripts on this site.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be noted in the app changelog.
